Roomoi Product Safety & Use Guide

ROOMOI Candle & Diffuser Safety Instructions

Your safety is our priority. To enjoy our products safely and responsibly, please read and follow the instructions below. Failure to observe these warnings may result in fire, property damage, or personal injury.

Reed Diffuser Safety & Use

  • ✨ Combatting "Nose Blindness" (Pro Tip): It is completely natural for your sense of smell to adapt to a fragrance after constant exposure, making it seem like the scent has faded when it hasn't. If you can no longer smell your diffuser, step out of the room into the fresh air for 10 minutes, or place the diffuser in a different room for a few days. Visitors to your home will still smell the beautiful aroma instantly!

  • ✨ Airflow & Placement (Pro Tip): Reed diffusers rely on natural air movement to carry the fragrance through a room. If a diffuser is tucked away in a stagnant corner, behind a curtain, or too high up on a shelf, the scent will stay trapped around the bottle. For the best scent throw, place your diffuser in a high-traffic area (like near a doorway, hallway, or a walkway in your living area) where the natural movement of people passing by will help circulate the fragrance.

  • ✨ Scent Control (Pro Tip): You can easily control the intensity of your fragrance by adjusting the number of reeds used. For smaller rooms (like bathrooms), start with 4 to 5 reeds. For a stronger scent throw in large open spaces, use the full set.

  • ✨ Initial Absorption (Pro Tip): When first opening your diffuser, allow the reeds to sit in the liquid for 24 to 48 hours to fully absorb the oil and begin releasing the scent naturally. You may notice a slight drop in the oil level during this initial priming phase; this is completely normal.

  • ✨ Refreshing the Scent (Pro Tip): To maintain an optimal fragrance diffusion, we recommend flipping your reeds once every 2 weeks.

  • ✨ Changing Your Reeds (Pro Tip): Reeds naturally accumulate household dust and become clogged with fragrance oil over time, which slows down the diffusion process. We highly recommend changing your reed sticks every 6 months to keep the scent throw beautifully pure, crisp, and powerful.

  • ✨ Longevity Expectations (Pro Tip): A 500ml diffuser is designed to last between 1 to 3 months. To reach the maximum lifespan, keep your diffuser in a cool spot. Flipping the reeds more frequently or placing the bottle in warm areas will cause the liquid to evaporate much faster, bringing the lifespan closer to the 1-month mark.

  • Flammability & Heat Warning: Diffuser oil is highly flammable. Keep away from open flames, electrical appliances, and all significant heat sources. Do not light the reeds.

  • Health & Irritation Risks: Diffuser oils may cause skin irritation or allergic reactions. Avoid contact with skin and eyes. In case of contact, wash immediately with plenty of soap and water. Seek medical advice if irritation persists. Do not ingest. Keep out of reach of children and pets.

  • Placement & Environmental Conditions: Always place your diffuser on a stable, level surface and use a protective mat or coaster. DO NOT place the diffuser in direct sunlight, on hot windowsills, near radiators, or close to heating/cooling vents. High ambient temperatures, drafts, and direct sun exposure will cause rapid, premature evaporation of the liquid and can cause thermal stress, leading to the glass container cracking or shattering.

  • Surface Protection: Diffuser oils can damage or stain polished, painted, synthetic, or fabric surfaces. Wipe any spills immediately with a clean, damp cloth.

  • Reed Handling: If you choose to flip the reeds, do so with care and only over a sink or protected surface to avoid drips. Frequent flipping will significantly reduce the lifespan of the product. Wash hands thoroughly after handling. Do not place used reeds directly on furniture or surfaces.

Reed Diffuser Refill Safety & Use

  • General Precautions: This product is intended only for refilling a compatible reed diffuser bottle. Do not use near open flames or ignition sources.

  • Handling & Storage: Wear gloves when refilling to avoid skin contact. Ensure the diffuser bottle is clean and completely dry before adding oil. Pour slowly to prevent splashes. Store refills upright, in a cool, dark place away from heat, direct sunlight, and out of reach of children and pets.

  • Spill Response: In the event of a spill, ventilate the area and wipe immediately. Do not allow oil to come into contact with skin, fabrics, or finished surfaces.

Scented Candle Safety & Use (160g)

  • ✨ The First Burn (Pro Tip): When lighting your candle for the first time, allow it to burn for 2 to 3 hours until the wax pool liquefies entirely to the glass edges. This prevents "tunneling" and ensures an even, smooth burn for the lifetime of your candle.

  • Fire Hazard: Never leave a burning candle unattended. Always extinguish all candles before leaving a room or going to sleep. Keep candles away from children, pets, and flammable materials such as curtains, bedding, paper, or fabrics.

  • Surface Protection: Always place your candle on a stable, level, and heat-resistant surface. Do not place on or near anything that can catch fire. Surfaces such as glass, mirrors, or marble are not heat-resistant and may crack, shatter, or conduct heat.

  • Burning Conditions: Do not burn for more than 4 hours at a time. Allow the container to cool completely before handling or relighting. Keep a minimum distance of 10 cm between burning candles to prevent overheating.

  • Wick Maintenance: Before each burn, trim the wick to approximately 5 mm (¼ inch). A long or “mushroomed” wick can produce a high flame, smoke, or soot and may overheat the glass.

  • Uneven or Unsafe Burning: If the flame becomes unusually high, smokes heavily, or burns unevenly, extinguish the candle immediately and allow it to cool before trimming the wick and relighting. Discontinue use if the issue persists or if the glass becomes excessively hot.

  • End of Use: Discontinue burning when approximately 1 cm (½ inch) of wax remains at the bottom. Burning a candle to the base can cause the container to overheat and potentially shatter. Never use liquid or water to extinguish a candle flame.
