CEVI X Subzero
100ml Extrait de Parfum
A bright citrus fragrance combining sparkling grapefruit, bergamot and aromatic ginger with a smooth musky, woody base. Fresh, energetic and easy to wear.

CEVI Les Parfums is a UAE fragrance house that started in 2024, using fragrance oils sourced from Grasse, France, before producing its finished fragrances in the United Arab Emirates.
But the part that first caught our attention was not simply where the fragrances were made.
It was the thinking behind them.
CEVI takes a fragrance-first approach. Instead of putting most of the product budget into oversized boxes, unnecessarily complicated bottles and packaging that looks impressive for five minutes, the brand focuses on what is actually inside the bottle.
The aim is to give customers the best quality fragrance possible for the price point.
And honestly, that is something we can get behind.
We come across new fragrance brands all the time. Some immediately grab your attention with heavy bottles and dramatic presentation, but once you spray the fragrance, the scent itself does not always live up to it.

CEVI Les Parfums is a modern fragrance brand from the United Arab Emirates. It produces extrait de parfum fragrances across a growing collection of fresh, woody, fruity, spicy, amber and oud-led scent profiles.
CEVI describes fragrance as a form of identity and self-expression. Its official brand story focuses on modern, meaningful scents that feel sophisticated without becoming difficult to wear. The brand also highlights minimalist design, premium fragrance oils, balanced compositions and extrait-strength performance.
There are fragrances that feel clean and uplifting, such as Veredian and Subzero. There are sweeter, warmer options such as Seraphia, and modern fruity fragrances such as Cypher Blue.
The range does not stick to one specific fragrance style.
Instead, CEVI appears to be building a collection for people who want concentrated, modern fragrances without automatically moving into niche fragrance prices.

CEVI Les Parfums started in 2024, making it a relatively young fragrance brand.
Third-party fragrance databases currently list the earliest documented CEVI perfume releases as 2025. That likely reflects when individual fragrances became publicly recorded, rather than when work on the company itself began.
Starting a fragrance brand is rarely as simple as choosing a name, filling a bottle and putting it online.
There is product development, fragrance testing, manufacturing, packaging, compliance, distribution and the difficult job of convincing customers to trust a name they may never have heard before.
CEVI entered an already crowded market.
UAE fragrance brands have become much more popular internationally, and customers now have an enormous number of affordable fragrances to choose from. To stand out, a new brand needs more than a strong bottle design or a long list of fragrance notes.
It needs a reason to exist.
For CEVI, that reason appears to be simple: put the focus back onto the fragrance itself.
CEVI perfumes are manufactured in the United Arab Emirates using fragrance oils sourced from Grasse, France.
This is one of the most important parts of the brand story.
The fragrance oil and the finished perfume are not produced in the same place. The oils are sourced from Grasse, then the finished CEVI fragrances are manufactured in the UAE.
That allows the brand to combine French fragrance expertise with UAE production.

CEVI sources its fragrance oils from Grasse, France, as part of its focus on the quality of the scent inside the bottle.
Grasse is widely recognised as one of the most important locations in modern perfumery. Its fragrance heritage includes the cultivation of perfume plants, the processing of natural materials and the art of perfume composition. The region’s perfume-making knowledge is also recognised by UNESCO as intangible cultural heritage.
However, we do not think the words “from Grasse” should automatically be treated as proof that a fragrance will smell incredible.
The finished result still matters.
A fragrance can have a brilliant list of ingredients and still feel flat, harsh or unbalanced when you actually wear it. Concentration, blending and how the notes develop together all play a part.
What matters with CEVI is whether that sourcing translates into a fragrance that smells good on skin.
From what we have tried so far, the quality is noticeable, particularly in how smooth and wearable the fragrances feel for their price point.
CEVI takes a fragrance-first approach, choosing to invest more heavily in the scent rather than spending most of its budget on extravagant boxes and overly complicated bottles.
A bottle should look attractive on a shelf, and the packaging should protect the product properly. Nobody wants to spend their money on something that arrives feeling cheap.
But there is a difference between good presentation and paying for unnecessary excess.
Some fragrance boxes are enormous. They use multiple layers, heavy inserts and detailed presentation that looks impressive when you first open it, but most people will eventually put that box in a cupboard or throw it away.
The fragrance is the part you continue to use.
CEVI’s thinking is that more of the customer’s money should go towards the smell and performance of the product itself.
That does not mean the presentation has been ignored.
The CEVI fragrances we have handled still feel premium enough for their price. The bottles have presence, the designs are modern, and each fragrance has its own identity.
They just do not rely entirely on packaging to convince you that the fragrance is worth buying.
CEVI X is a specific collection within CEVI Les Parfums that focuses on affordable fragrances inspired by established luxury scents.
The official CEVI X collection describes itself as an inspired-by range using premium oils and highly concentrated formulations to make luxury-style perfumery more accessible. The current collection includes nine fragrances.
These include fragrances inspired by scents from brands such as:
We have currently tried five CEVI fragrances: Subzero, Veredian, Cypher Blue, Seraphia and Omaage.
We currently stock Subzero, Veredian, Cypher Blue and Seraphia at The Fragrance Cabinet.
We are not going to rank them fully in this article because each one deserves more detail. However, here is a quick introduction to the different styles.

CEVI fragrances are likely to appeal to people who want modern, concentrated scents without paying entirely for a designer name or elaborate presentation.
The range could work particularly well for:
CEVI also divides its wider range across men’s, women’s and unisex fragrances, as well as different scent families.
We would still recommend choosing by scent profile rather than relying entirely on the gender label.
If you enjoy the fragrance, you can wear it.
CEVI perfumes are available in the UK through its authorised distribution network and selected independent fragrance retailers.

We see a lot of new fragrance launches.
Some have brilliant marketing. Some have beautiful packaging. Some have a note breakdown that sounds perfect, but the fragrance itself does not always deliver.
That is why we do not want to stock something purely because it is new or looks good in a photograph.
What impressed us about CEVI was that the fragrances felt properly considered for the price point.
They are easy enough to understand and wear, but they do not feel completely basic. The inspirations are also interesting. Instead of only recreating the same fragrances that already have hundreds of alternatives, CEVI has looked towards scents such as Wulong Cha and Drunk Lovers.
We also like the fact that the brand’s values match something we believe ourselves.
Presentation matters, but the fragrance should always be the main product.
A huge box cannot rescue an average scent.
From the fragrances we have tried, CEVI feels like a brand that has put genuine thought into how the fragrances smell and how they fit into someone’s collection.
That does not mean every fragrance will be for everyone.
Seraphia will appeal to a very different person than Veredian. Omaage is not going to give you the same bright, sharp experience as Subzero.
But that variety is a positive.
It means CEVI is beginning to create a range where different customers can find something that suits them, rather than every release following exactly the same formula.
CEVI Les Parfums is worth considering if you value scent quality, concentrated formulations and modern fragrance profiles at a more accessible price.
The strongest parts of the brand so far are:
There are also some things buyers should keep in mind.
CEVI is still a young brand, so there are fewer independent reviews than you would find for names such as Lattafa, Armaf or Afnan.
The structure of the range can also be slightly confusing.
CEVI X is clearly positioned as an inspired-by collection, but Cypher Blue shows that inspired fragrances can sit elsewhere in the wider catalogue too.
That does not affect how the fragrance smells, but clearer explanations from the brand would make the range easier for customers to understand.
Yes, CEVI Les Parfums is worth trying if you want modern, extrait de parfum fragrances that focus more heavily on the scent than unnecessary packaging.
The brand is still at an early stage, but that is also what makes it interesting.
There is an opportunity to discover the fragrances before CEVI becomes a name that everyone already knows.
For fresh fragrance lovers, Subzero and Veredian are easy places to begin.
For something modern, fruity and musky, Cypher Blue stands out.
For people who prefer warmer and sweeter fragrances, Seraphia moves in a completely different direction.
And with Omaage expected to join our collection, the range available in the UK is continuing to grow.
CEVI may have started in 2024, but it already feels like a brand with a clear idea of what it wants to offer: fragrance quality, strong concentration and luxury-inspired scent profiles without making the customer pay mainly for the box.
