The Fragrance Cabinet Named One of the Nation’s Favourite Businesses for 2026
We have some incredibly exciting news to share.
The Fragrance Cabinet has been selected as one of Small Business Saturday UK’s Nation’s Favourite Businesses for 2026, alongside 100 other brilliant small businesses from across the UK.
Being recognised nationally while representing Liverpool is a very proud moment for us, especially when we look back at where the business began.
From £800 and a storage container
We’re James and Olivia, the couple behind The Fragrance Cabinet.
James started the business in Liverpool in 2023 with just £800, a storage container and a passion for fragrance. Although it began as James’s idea, we have built and run The Fragrance Cabinet together from the start.
What began with a small collection of Middle Eastern fragrances has grown into an online fragrance business serving customers throughout the UK.
Along the way, we have expanded into luxury home fragrance as an authorised UK distributor for Italian brand ROOMOI. We have also gone from selling other fragrance brands to creating one of our own through Athina Parfums, founded by Olivia and developed by both of us.
Despite how much has changed, The Fragrance Cabinet is still a small independent business run personally by the two of us.
We still pack every order ourselves and include a handwritten thank you note in every parcel. When you message us, ask for advice or place an order, you are speaking directly to the people behind the business.
That personal connection with our customers has always mattered to us, and it always will.

Being named one of the Nation’s Favourite Businesses has made us stop and appreciate just how far we have come. From starting with £800 in a Liverpool storage container to serving fragrance customers across the UK, it has been quite a journey.
